Kyia is a mystic realm steeped in a dark lore that has disrupted the ideal balance of the cosmos more than once. Home to the first mortals (the Avopouragains) and a refuge for all that can reach its heights. These ancient lands exist as many large continents which share a tremendous shallow ocean (the Shailen), which itself is apart of a greater ocean atop the Grand Firmament (Deim’naren). This massive fresh water ocean connects through to that icy realm below (Plaith) between the inner and outer layers of that ineradicable barrier. This connection to the ‘Lower Realms’ is from whence came the Alimarian colonies present in the seas of Kyia today.
Above and surrounding Kyia is an astral portal like no other. Higher than the surface weather and winds are a cosmic collection of dark auroras and celestial clouds between Kyia and Edden Prime which project identically the luminaries of the day and night sky in their cyclical passing. This permeable astral gateway above Kyia has left the realm open to travelers of the cosmos, and over the ages has transformed the realm into a diversified collection of peoples who came seeking both sanctuary and conquest.
Densely forested today, the realm had once been saturated in the mega city complexes of the Avopouragain peoples. These primordial beings were first created before all other mortal people by the chaotic demiurge Yaldabaoth, and were given domain over that crowning realm. Gifted with the control of plants, the life source of most people, the Fairies of the Panmer and Torlass were set up to be the leaders of Avopouragain society.
However these small statured people were ever hungry to grow more powerful, and as their civilization grew they delved ever deeper into the mysteries of the cosmos and began to unlock hidden power not meant for mortal use. As their morality declined the power of the Sprites began to come out in the open, the dark arts became widely practiced.
At the height of their power and depravity, the Sprites outright ruled the sprawling metropolitan mosaic of superstructures and mass habitation apartments through demonic devices primarily. These mischievous beings through dark magic were able to summon and trap all kinds of inhuman immortal forms, and frequently made arrangements with Astral Deities and Demons alike. Eventually the Sprites broke a boundary they couldn’t go back from, and imparted into the cosmos the entity known as the Kyon.
Pulled into our reality the Kyon emanates from beyond, and is incarnated into a physical form only in appearance. The Kyon’s coming in Kyia marks the end of that old realm as it was, for after his coming and the creation of his people the Kyrians, the realm was remade into the irresistible place it is today. So much changed that even the realms original designation Avalor is rarely ever spoken, except by those remnant Sprite orders and their allies abroad in other realms.
